Request Access to a Tableau Report
Use this page when you need access to an existing Tableau report or dashboard at Rice.
How access works
Report access is granted according to Rice administrative report access provisioning policy. Because many Tableau reports include institutional data, access may require approval before it can be added.
- Submit a request and specify the Tableau report or dashboard you need.
- Data stewards review and approve access to the underlying data for the report.
- EDBI provisions access according to administrative report access policy.
- If needed, EDBI adds the appropriate Tableau user group so you can open the report on Tableau Server.
Before you submit
- Include the report name, dashboard name, or business area if you know it.
- Tell EDBI why access is needed so the request can be routed to the correct approver.
- Use Tableau Server to open reports after access is approved.
